Very nice. The worn down look is very realistic

I remember this kit from my youth VERY well. I was never a big Aircobra fan but when I saw that it had a cockpit door that could be displayed open, I thought to myself "Now THAT'S frickin' COOL!!" and so I bought one and built it up.
Yours here turned out to be one good looking example of what this kit can look like in the hands of a gifted modeler. The "wear & tear" effects look great as does all the detail work that you've put into it Carlos!! What a beauty!!

TJ, Leon, & Joe, thank you.
TJ, I think that I used at least three different Olive Drab paints to get that worn look, plus two different Neutral Gray paints on the bottom. I guess that’s one way to show that different companies make different paints that do not match under the same color name.
Leon, the Russian Front was well known for its’ harsh weather conditions, so I wanted to capture that look on this build.
Joe, I must have built at least two or three of these when I was in grade school as a kid. The cool/wow factor on the kit with all its internal detail was certainly part of that. Even for its age, it’s still a pretty good and well detailed kit.

John and Andrew, thank you. I appreciate your kind feedback.
Andrew, I’d love to try my hand at one of the Eduard Airacobras. So many marking choices to choose from for the family.

Thanks Lee. The ‘Cobra was a sleek aircraft, and in the right hands could handle most opponents at low altitude.

Love how the paint job was done! Did you know that all of them were built in my hometown Buffalo/Niagara Falls? I can't wait to build mine one day but you boys have been keeping me busy with the ongoing Panther build. LOL

Thanks Andy. Didn’t Buffalo NY have Curtiss and Bell in the area?
If you’re itching to tackle an Airacobra, just hurry up on your Panther… 😉
