Final step was painting on deck markings and placing aircraft. Funny, after stringing the ultra fine arresting cables, they are not even visible in the pics.
I will shoot better photos when I find my Fuji Digital SLR.

Outstanding build! I really like how the planes with yellow wings make the whole thing eye catchy.

Lookin' rather stellar so far with all the tiny details and PE that you've added Paul. I can see the arrestor cables in the last few pictures alright. This is looking SWELL so far buddy.

What a beauty. All the girders and support structure for the deck add so much detail - very nice.

That's awesome. And huge! Big, but not huge. I just looked up her specs, and she was 100 feet shorter than USS Arizona or Admiral Graf Spee! I was surprised to see that Graf Spee was 2 feet longer than Arizona!

That ship is awesome. Really nice work on this one. I bet painting and finishing this deck was fun and a way to work on wood painting. Thanks for sharing.

This is impressive. The photoetch structure must have given you fits to align.

Super nice show piece. The aircraft you did really show off well on that deck. Staring at that latticework of pe under the deck i could just feel your pain! Turned out well worth the effort!
