All, Figures and Bust are one of the areas I need to work on. Specifically flesh and faces. I’m waiting to have that moment where the light bulb above my head turns on. The first two pictures are my second attempt after stripping and repainting. The two at the bottom were my first attempt. Christopher

I hope I have read correctly... both are same bust but with just little modifications? It amazes me how results for both are so different! I really like how the eyes were painted looking to the right instead of looking straight. The paint jobs of leather jackets are just great!

You're a million steps ahead of me Christopher. I've wanted to try my hand at figure painting for a long while now but haven't ventured into that area of modeling as of yet. You, on the other hand, have made into the realm and have done pretty dang well with it so far it looks like. There's a fella named Steve Zuleski here that does some good figure work and will appreciate this thread too.

This is what the figure looked like after stripping and a fresh coat of paint on both the coat in the face. I was able to take everything apart, thankfully. Obviously, the hat was the only thing that was not repainted, and I’m glad for that.. one of the areas specifically that I need to work on, are the highlights and shadows of the faces. Just about every one of the bust that I’ve done, they all look like they’ve been to the tanning booth. I’ve actually taken a break from doing bust. I’m gonna try to get back to it after I’m caught up with my other projects. Thank you very much for having a look. Model on my friends!! Christopher

Christopher For me, figure painting is an art all to its own and mostly a mystery to me....although I have picked up a thing or two on forums over the years just watching things like this come together.
