I have built 10 T-34s so far since 1988, and all have survived multiple moves, cats, earthquakes, etc. Here they are in order of build... Tamiya T-34/76 M-1943 early, 1988 Tamiya T-34/76 M-1943 late, 1989/1990 Tamiya T-34/76 M-1943, converted to M-1942 (couldn't get ahold of the M-1942 kit at that time), later rebuilt with a Maquette M-1942 welded turret 1990 build, rebuilt ~2016 Tamiya T-34/76 M-1942 late (finally found one) early 90's Tamiya T-34/85, early 90's Tamiya T-34/76 M-1942, (up armored) mid-90's Zvezda T-34/85, mid 1990's Zvezda T-34/76 M-1943 early, early 00's Maquette T-34/76 M-1941 STZ, kit turret replaced with correct resin MB turret, late 00's Tamiya T-34/76 M-1943 UTZ build, 2013 All my T-34/76s... not enough room to get the T-34/85's in also with a clean background...

Thanks guys! Tony, I think that you'll need at least a battery of 88's to deal with that many T-34s at once. Leon, after doing these photos, I'm starting to feel the need to build another soon...

Jeez!!! That's ALOT of Soviet tanks Carlos!! Love all the different types of camo that you did on these buddy. LOL! Thanks Joe. Yeah, I do like the T-34. And there are more where these came from... plenty more in my stash! The camo is all the same on them... Russian green... LOL! Humbrol, Pactra, Model Master, Floquil, Xtracolor, Gunze, Tamiya...No paint company does that color the same. One just has the occasionally seen red brown over it and another has the common winter whitewash.

Your T-34 collection is quite excellent and sizeable. Really impressive work on each one. Glad you found some variations in schemes to represent. They are a cool tank to be sure. Again, another nice representation of honing your skills over time. Thank yet again for sharing your historical builds.
The only single model I completed during my 39 yr "hiatus" from modeling was the Tamiya T-34/85 that I built over some years in the early/mid nineties. Still have that model and I will take the time to share it since you have given me the inspiration to do so.

Thanks Joe. I look forward to seeing that T-34/85 of yours.
I love how much variety within the different T-34 variants can be found. Aside from the basic evolution of the design, there was also the variations put in place by the different factories that produced them. Aside from the Stalingrad produced tanks, I’m still struggling to recognize which factory made the particular sub variants. The Sherman shares similar varieties in between the producing factories, but most differences are much more subtle.

I built and painted that kit back in the late 80’s when Pactra still existed. Funny thing is that Vallejo’s Russian Green is real close to Pactra’s Russian Green. Mission Models and Model Master’s take on the color are similar, but different at the same time.

Thank you Buddho. Something of an eye opener for myself as well to see them in photos as opposed to with the eyeball in person. Digital cameras do tend to catch things that my eye missed…

Lovely targets for my Stuka!!! Nice work on those by the way. LOL! Thanks. And yes, they certainly are Stuka and Henschel favored prey! Although the same can be said of Panzers and Shturmoviks...

Thanks John . After looking at all of those and realizing that I hadn't built one in 10 years, I'm suddenly feeling the urge to build more of them...

Why oh why did I throw away my old kits from back in the day! You have a really good basis for comparison on how well your skills are developed.

Chad, I have thrown away more than a few builds with every move. some due to damage, and some just because I don't think that they were up to par with their contemporaries... It's all good. And yes, the old builds do give a good gauge to compare how skills have progressed.
