You just can't beat the 1:1 scale stuff. I've been to a good number of airshows and I really enjoy the vintage birds flying. A truly amazing experience. Thanks for sharing that with us m1keh. |

The EAA's Consolidated PT 3 (PT= Primary Trainer).  While this PT3 came to EAA with an almost complete Hisso engine parts are hard to come by so they replaced with a Continental 220 engine. It was completed in 1998 and flew for a couple years before being put on permanent display at the EAA Museum. I think these old rotary engine are just so cool.   |

Those are some nice pics. Never seen Doc before but I have seen the B29 FIFI a couple of times.

Yak 3, original engine replaced with U.S. made Allison engine.   Note tennis balls stuffed into exhausts to keep out dust and dirt.   R |

Great photos Mike. Thank you for sharing them with us. I hope to make it to Oshkosh sometime. As an avid lover of the Corsair I really like those shots. I've had the opportunity to climb around inside the B-29 "FIFI". That was very cool.
