The body and chassis look good next to each other, thanks for the update. Good to know you are still at it, James.
We are pretty much at the same place on our 79's.

All Understandable stuff James. Have had some stuff with our vehicles too. Always fun. Including the clutch on my car, which requires dropping the entire subframe as part of the subframe runs under the transmission 🤦🏻♂️. I left that one to the professionals which certainly hurt the old wallet. Real life is so much fun.
I hear you on the temps too. Indiana is getting downright cold. Had ice on my windshield this morning after work. I hope you can get your garage insulated where it’s useable for you!!

James, Egads snow!! I'd trade that in a second for the forest fires that have now started in update NY even though we live on Long Island. Truly scary stuff.

I second Joel's 'egads' to the snow.

Very pretty carpet Brent. I won’t be showing my wife this. She absolutely loves snow and wishes we’d get much more than we do. She’d be trying to pack up and move north!! Lol.

I spent my younger days living with mom in Sierra mountains. Wish we would have never left. No snow here, jsut cold and grey. We did get a few hours of rain. Just enough to add humidity and low temps to the garage. Not actually cold, jsut cold for painting haha. But now that we have a real truck and 4 wheel drive I already asked the wife to plan a trip to Tahoe so we can get the heck out of here.

So, will I be able to see this in person at NNL West this year? HAHA thanks for the vote of confidence... but I doubt it has a place at a show like that. But id be happy to go and meet some fellow MSC members! It would be my first show I ever attended.

That looks great, James. You did a good job tucking in those fuel lines. I didn't think ahead and have some adjustments needed to make the body cover fit.....hopefully.

These are not the right scale. Also, they wont even be visible with covers on. But I wanted this photo. I love the way the engine looks with the wires and fuel lines. I also didn't do anything special underneath. They will just tuck away and not really go anywhere. But, for now, it looks super cool haha.

I couldn't agree more. Especially the cool look part.

james, yep, the engine looks great with the added fuel lines, but like you said once the shell cover is on none of this will be seen. You could always display the Lotus with it off, but I've long ago opted to keep the body panels on as the car just doesn't look as I want it to. Naturally, for a club display and or contest all the details should be seen.

The level of detail that goes into these F1 cars is just off the charts and I truly enjoy watching them come together in such good fashion as this James. I've got enough kits already now but builds like this make me want to go out and get one of these kits. lol
Great work on this brother.

Really nice work. Your DFV looks sensational. And the whole chassis tub looks just right. Nicely done. Looking forward to the next update!
