Nice work space you got!!! I am always fan of clean benches... Yea me too. The garage is packed with pretty much everything I own haha so its easy for it to become super messy and cluttered.

Thats pretty cool. And worth the effort. Even if you decide not to use it. Still a really cool piece. Great work scratching that together.

Once its painted and has hoses on it as well as being mounted. It will look great. Don't sweat it, just do it.

Process is slow, but I think I have a good process happening finally. So there is a PE part for this here. But when adding it to the car it makes it not match the original which is weird. The kit parts are almost perfect so I will skip the PE parts here and just paint to match.

I have dropped this thing twice, and had to search for the tiny pieces and re-glue and paint haha. Finally got hoses on them. This piece on the kit is not 100% accurate so I added fittings to match 1:1. I also need to drill a hole to the side and add an additional fitting and hose. Not Perfect but its lookin great for my skill level haha.

I really dislike it when I keep dropping stuff. I've actually gotten to where I'll slide the "keyboard" tray out when I'm working with small stuff at the bench and it's saved me alot of frustration and time looking for parts. You're really going all out with the detail on this car.

I told yah it would look good once painted and had lines on it!!! This is shaping up nicely! I hate dropping expensive little AN fittings. Once their gone...Yeah... I keep a piece of Black cotton fabric (the backside of an old T shirt) Its about 2 ft square. I lay It on the work bench when doing that fine and delicate detail parts stuff. The fabric keeps the parts from bouncing when you drop em. The bounce is what causes the stuff to disappear. Just like sky diving... If your chute don't open. its not the fall that kills you...its the bounce...Just have to get in the habit of working over the fabric. We like to pull stuff in close as we work so we can see it better. Just have to un learn a few habits. I have dropped but not lost tiny things since I started this practice. I have also noticed that if the piece does bounce. it usually does not go very far (Beyond ones lap) since the fabric absorbs the energy from the bounce...Sound silly??? Try it, you'll like it!

The detail is awesome! I was just watching Grand Prix, 1966, with James Garner. Incredible story on the making of that movie and just how crazy it was to drive back then, woof. Great work, James!
P.S. Ya better not let the wife open that garage door on a windy day, lol.

P.S. Ya better not let the wife open that garage door on a windy day, lol. A glorious movie. Always worth a rewatch. Garner was the only actor who was actually a decent driver as well. Evidently Brian Bedford was particularly useless and couldn't drive a hot knife through butter. I will also argue that he is the hero as Garner's character is not great.

I have this kit. It keeps moving further to the back of the stash because your build will be so much better than mine!

I have this kit. It keeps moving further to the back of the stash because your build will be so much better than mine! I highly doubt that. But you could use my build as a decent reference since I am finding little details left out of the kit or that are just flat out incorrect haha. Also, because of my little engine mishap, ill have like 75% of an extra kit if you loose any pieces! Your detailing work looks excellent! I really appreciate that. Thank you!
