Man this is really cool. That sucks about how bad the Black Dog set is. There were some of their sets that I wanted for aircraft.

I haven't tried those sets for aircrafts so you might want to ask around before you buy one. Glad you liked it... thanks Medicman! I have been traveling and working like crazy for last three weeks. But I managed to find time to work on the Humvee before the club meeting. I won’t get my $20 back if I don’t finish it by the deadline last Friday but I MADE IT!!! However it is 99% completed, I still need to add the side mirros and paint the spot lights then I can officially call it DONE!      Of course I forgot to take pictures of the interior before I attached the top on for good! You will find some dirt on the floors like you have seen in those Humvees. I have 3D printed of 1/48 IDF soldiers and I will be working on them soon and create a diorama base too. Thanks for looking! |

I hope to finish my Humvee build over the weekend!!! While I was upgrading my workbench recently, I found a small diorama based in Vietnam that I made for a friend last year but he changed his mind. I thought to myself why not use it for my little Humvee but there were no red clay/soil in Israel so I sprayed sand & tan paint and applied beach sand & Middle East sand pigments afterward. I trimmed the 1/35 tall grass to 1/48 scale then I toned down the color of green to make them look duller and drier.  I think it came out good so it is now ready!  I have been painting four 3D printed IDF soldiers for couple of weeks and they are almost done! More to come... |
