Tamiya 1/48 A-1J Skyraider -Sandy

This is one of those builds that stayed on my shelf mocking me since covid.   It was mostly done for 3 years, but not quite.  I finally got fed up and wanted to finish the derelict.  So here is my 1/48 Skyraider, the mount of George Marrett from the 602 SOS.  Only additions were the Master cannon barrels and tail pitot tube, and the covered Yankee escape system by Quick Boost.  There are many many many flaws, but sometimes you just gotta cross the finish line.

Thank you Tojo72.  Weathering and exhaust stains were done with oils.

Fantastic brother! I did the the A-1H version and have been hankering to do the an A-1J bird. Yours is awesome! What a great build - looks spot on.

First off, welcome back to MSC Matt ( mattgoodie ). Secondly.....whadda return thread this one is! It's almost hard to believe that this one is out of the box except for a couple of stray items. This just goes to show that it's the modeler and not the model that makes up a good build. Good show man......really good.
