Last Friday, Andy's Hobby Headquarters in Phoenix posted on FB that these were in stock. I ordered 2 immediately. Price is about $28 US plus shipping. Now the wait begins.....

If you care to wait until mine arrive, I'll post a quick review of the kit. My expectations are high--at least it should be greatly better than the old Monogram M29C kit.

I'm watching too. Might be useful for a cold Ardennes setting.

Calm down boys. You know there will be another boxing with the flotation kit right? Probably sooner than later. So watch that "Buy this now!" finger and take a deep breath before you buy too many!
I wonder if someone will do a British Terrapin?

I wonder if someone will do a British Terrapin? Don't need that one. I already built the ancient Monogram Amphibious Weasel long ago.

The one thing I am disappointed by Takom and Meng is that they rarely if ever include figures. The oddball subjects they kit can lead to difficulties in sourcing appropriate crew.

The AM companies are not keeping pace with appropriate figures to go with any of the Cold War or non WWII vehicles.

I would love to see plastic Cold War tank crew for US, British and French vehicles. And for open top vehicles like the Weasel, they just beg for a driver and some passengers.

Not to jump too bad, but I'd absolutely love to see some Cold War-period US, British and yes, IDF figs, especially in casual poses. I've started ordering parts and pieces to do this vehicle, something I took a pic of in 1996, but sourcing a couple of figs, even to just stand beside it, has been frustrating... IMG_4055 by Russel Baer, on Flickr It's a pic of a pic, forgive the glare. I'm a little sorry I only took one of it, but we were in a hurry, and they boogied off right after I got this shot. In fact, when I asked if I could take their pic they waited for me before scooting. Sorry for the hijack, the Weasel discussion got me on a soap box about figs.

When I saw you were posting here I was already wondering if there is an IDF Weasel, Russ? :-)
