Went to EAA Airventure again this year and while walking amongst the Corsairs I decided I had to build a model of one. So putting aside my armor build I bought this 1/72 Corsair by SMER, it's the old Heller kit from the 70's I have been told but it was an excellent build. It was a very enjoyable build and a nice break. All brush painted.  |

Dang Mike! That Corsair turned out pretty dang spiffy being brush painted. I've not dabbled in 1/72nd scale since I was a kid but I recently made a 72nd scale purchase not too long ago.
Good looking build bud.

Thanks all! I think this kit was fantastic for it's age, and was a good break from armor. I plan on doing more 1/72 aircraft in the future to break things up. I found this kit on Amazon for $12.00 and it's labeled as Hi Tech, SMER put in a fret of PE that includes seat and instrument panel amongst other bits and bobs.
