So I bought this in 2016. It didn't see much usage the first few years due to moves and pausing on the hobby. I mostly started using it weekly about a year ago. It worked flawlessly.
Until yesterday. Now when I turn it on it will begin to fill the tank. But after a few minutes it stumbles and stops. When I use the air brush it will immediately turn on and fill the tank. It should not work this way, it should fill the tank and auto shut off until it is used and drops below a certain psi then restart. Only now it only turns on every time I use the air brush. Even for just a second.
Its weird, its almost acting like a tankless system. I always open the release valve on the bottom, as preventative maintenance. Any ideas?
If it cant be fixed, and these oil free/no maintenance compressors just die after a while I guess Ill need reviews on new ones. Preferably similar to this one. Meaning quiet.

My first guess is you have a pressure valve problem, they are usually easy to replace; however, I am totally unfamiliar with the one you have.

My first guess is you have a pressure valve problem, they are usually easy to replace; however, I am totally unfamiliar with the one you have. Thank you for your input! I went into the garage tonight to see what I could find out. I started by taking off the case to inspect for any visual issues. Nothing. As expected it looks brand new still. 2nd thought was to move it to a more cmofortable spot too look it over so I brought it to my desk. Plugged it in and bam.. works perfectly. Instantly thought, maybe it was where I had it plugged in. So I brought it back. Works like new again... confusion set in at that point. Nothing changed besides me removing the outer case. Im willing to bet I just had too many things plugged into the pwoper strip.I have our security cameras, the sprinkler control, a led light anda computer monitor all in the same strip? Well see I guess. Ill try to paint some stuff and see if the issue returns. Good news so far!
