Hi, this is my side project what I'm building when paint is drying on kv project. I'm adding a rfm own pe upgrade set and some other extras like towing cables and decals. Kit builds up nicely, nothing bad to say at this point. Kit tracks seemed to be surprisingly good and i'm going to use those. Some weld beads. Kit offered to build spare track holder a little strange way, none of my references showed up it how it was in kit. I cut the bar little shorter and made new bends. Time for fenders. And lots of tool holders.

NICE!!! Another RFM kit for me to follow to find out if it is as good as my Panther kit! Good move with the spare tracks holder by the way.

Looking good, you are off to a great start!
How is RFM's PE vs. Aber or Eduard offerings?

RFM definitely has their own way of doing things but they yield such great results. Off to a good start and will be watching for updates Jukka.

Thanks for the interest! Rfm pe sets are quite similar to aber etc. Not as complicated like voyager/et.model. I'm building this to a wiking division vehicle, as they had quite interesting barrel field modification in their pz iii's. Star decals has a sheet for those.

Interesting unit modification for carrying the fuel drum. I wonder how frequently they would carry those drums with fuel near the front lines?

Love this, I've got me a pz III in the stash, a Dragon models one, nice kit, it was given to me on the Military Modelling site years ago, before it went under

Interesting unit modification for carrying the fuel drum. I wonder how frequently they would carry those drums with fuel near the front lines? I think it's more used when moving to operational area. Here is a few more pics of the same unit. Almost all images shows crew sleeping or taking a break. 200l drum gives only about 100km more radius.

A few more parts glued together. Nothing bad to say about fitment.

I forgot to mention that I bought very same kit from a club member couple of months ago at the swap meeting. So I can assure you that it was your fault this time... LOL Your little panzer is off to a good start!

Wow! I'll be hanging out watching this one too. Love the RFM kits. Those field photos are fantastic. Great resource for detailing.
