Hi everyone. Very sad news. I received a call from Gary’s wife Susan earlier telling me that he passed away. The pub seemed the right place for this post so everyone raise a glass to Gary. He was partial to peach iced tea with Crown Royal. I’m extremely grateful to her for taking the time to call me and let me know. I’ve just spent some time scrolling through his work on various forums. He was such a gifted builder and turned out some stunning work. Some of you may know that Gary is the entire reason that I’m on this forum. I spoke to him on the phone and emailed him at least once a week. He was always encouraging of my builds and we shared a common love of all things racing, particularly open wheel dirt racing. He always wanted to hear about the sprint car team I work on and what race I was going to next and he would stream a lot of it and watch. He was a great guy and I’ll really miss our bench racing sessions going forward. Thought everyone here should know.

This is indeed incredibly saddening news. My heart goes out to Gary's wife and family. Although I had just got meet him here in the last few months I thoroughly enjoyed his acquaintance. His talent and skills were of the highest order and will be sorely missed. The world was blessed with his presence here. May he rest in peace.
Godspeed to you Kyle on the loss of your close friend.

This is indeed incredibly saddening news. My heart goes out to Gary's wife and family. Although I had just got meet him here in the last few months I thoroughly enjoyed his acquaintance. Oh man. This is terribly bad news and my most sincere thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I've known Gary for a while now and we've become very good friends across several forums. I appreciate you bringing this to light Kyle.
