This is the beginnings of Kinetic's retooled Gold Series Nato Viper with D-Day commemrative decals. The kit is Tamiya good,no issues yet,the Quinta Decals went in nicely.Im moving real slow,I think the large invasion stripes will be touchy.I will try to post progress pics, hopefully it won't end up on a shelf of doom.
Got the paint down, different from armor,so much masking and redoing. Also put down the main decals they went down pretty easy, but still got a ton of placards and markings to apply, but do far,so good.

I like it! It's too bad that the BAF did not at least also add a dark green disruptive pattern to the upper surfaces with the invasion stripes for a more WWII Spitfire style commemorative scheme like the RAF has done on occasion.

Man, that Quinta stuff is awfully good looking. I wish they weren't so expensive!
Of course, I have most of the variants of the old-tooled Kinetic kits to build. I haven't researched enough to find out why Kinetic thought they needed to do a whole new line...I'm not optimistic.
Finished up today not perfect but I'm pretty happy with it,will look good on the shelf with my Indy ANG Super Bowl commemorative bird.Decals fit nicely and went down well.I used mostly AK-Real paints. Thanks for checking in.

There's no exaggeration when I say that I've always thought of these aircraft as the best of the best in terms of fighter aircraft. The lines of these birds are as sleek as it gets and just screams superiority with the way they look. This was already a good build and then you threw in some invasion stripes and a knockout banner on the vertical fin and it became a real eye catcher. Tony, that sucker looks SWEET!! Very good finish up with an attractive scheme. Nicely done bud.

Tojo - I'm blown away. Best F-16 build I have seen. I have head nightmares about kinetic kits but they must have turned it around withn the Gold series. I have the F-105 Gold so maybe Ill dig it out soon. Awesome job!
