LOL! This Thread became hilarious!
I also have two cats. When the one comes into the room, he will help me find the missing parts and will be quite successful. The little girl doesn't get it so she stays out of the hobby room. One time it wouldn't clsoe and she got in and left a few teeth marks on a couple models...
Okay, now to load my flamethrower......

My cats (thankfully) have never shown the slightest interest in any of my models or pieces...unless they happen to be knocked onto the floor. Thankfully they still haven't chewed on anything but do proceed to do some serious batting. Their favorite thing is laying on whatever box I need to open. 😒😂😂

Yeah, my one cat Sylvester is like that. He'll come up and sniff what I have on the workbench and then look at me as if saying, "Well done, keep going" and then he settles down to watch me work.
