What an amazing estate. Must take a few trips to see the whole thing. Is all of the interior open to tour? Is it all still furnished?

Truly spectacular! I’ve never been to North Carolina, but I’ve heard wonderful things about the State and would like to get down that way some day.

I just wonder why no Vanderbilts live there any more - haven't since the late 50s. They're like meh, I want something nicer
The interior pics are just amazing!

NICE! I lived in North Carolina in Raleigh area for 8 years and I regret for not going there when I was there. It wouldn’t have been easy to drag two little boys around. But one day I’d love to take my wife there when we are in the area! Tickets can be pricey but I think its worth it.

I love visiting the Biltmore, I've probably been there 5 times over the years. Looks like you picked a lovely day to visit. They don't build them like that anymore.
On one visit about 13 years ago, we sprung for the attic tour and the basement tour. In the attic tour, you get to go into the attics and go out on the roof...VERY cool!
In the basement tour, you get to go down into the kitchens, pantries, laundry, and other areas. This was my favorite as I'm always intrigued by the mechanical workings.

Basement is now part of the regular tour, pretty cool with bowling alley and pool. The house is only part of it our yearly passes get us on the trails whenever we want, also they have a spot called Antler village,in the summer we bring chairs, sit back on the lawn snd enjoy the music.

That is a really nice part of the country. The wife and I have considered moving to that area when we retire.
We spent a week up by Spruce Pine, NC and really fell in love with the countryside.
