Long thin decals are tough enough without the decals being subpar. Looks like you are getting there with the rest of the bird, watching for more!

I simply cannot wrap my head around the fact that this is a Revell kit as it is THAT good Mark! This is up there with Hobbyboss standards in terms of molded in details. WOW!!! Excellent wrap up in every aspect!!!!

Looks very sharp! Everything turned out really nicely. For future reference on your next builds, white missiles on US aircraft were pretty much phased out during the early 80's aside from the AGM-88 HARM, and some old stock types.

Thanks gents
Joe as said elsewhere this kit is a very odd blend...where it's good it's pretty nice and where it's bad it's awful. The trick, as we all know, is to hide the awful
S now you tell me! In reality I had no idea, don't know that much about modern AC. Perhaps the armament crew was cleaning out the ship's magazine one day...
All thanks for following and the occasional look

You are well known as a talented armor builder and you did really great work on this aircraft! It was fun following your build and I hope I will have the courage to build something like this one day.

A very kind assessment Andy...thanks and here's how you build planes. Get one, start it, and don't tell no one. That way if it goes south no one's the wiser.

Close to the end now Flory's Black Wash done over about two thirds of the model. Mostly I just smear the whole thing but Revell's panel lines on this one are very shallow and great care is needed when removing the excess lest it all come up so the less put down the better Decals quite shiny despite a squirt of semi-gloss clearcoat. Might have to hit them with some flatcoat Final parts to be attached; the canopy will go on dead last Because of the decal failure this is gonna have to be a one sided model...I'll display it in a corner somewhere that no one can look around to the other side This has really ruined my attitude in regard to AM decals, I'll not be purchasing any more of them as this failure has argurably spoiled the model Sorry you had bad luck with that aftermarket decal set. On a side note, I’ve used 2 after market decal sets and had a pleasant experience with both. Brands were Caracal and ROS os. Nonetheless, that F18 is lookin sharp!

Thank you sir
And it may be, as stated elsewhere, I'm just not that good with the large AC decals as I'm mostly an armor modeler. I do recall using a set of Carcals not long ago and they were fine
