AFV 1/35th scale IDF M109A2 DOHER

All, 
       I’ve always wanted to get one of these kits. I’ve heard so many good things about them. I did do quite a bit of scratch building on the inside of the turret, and the interior of the hull. 
        I ordered the interior from Black dog models. I did add some additional detail using leftover photoetch, and solder to simulate piping. I added lights in both the turret and hull. White lights for non-tactical situations, and blue lights for tactical. This is probably one of the funnest builds I’ve ever had, armor wise.

I don’t build that much armor. With that being said, I thought the kit was awesome. I had no issues. When I initially opened the box to check the parts out, I was happy to see the level of detail that AFV had put into their kit.

For a guy that doesn't build much armor, you sure showed 'em how it's done here. Having served in the Army as a tracked vehicle mechanic on these machines, I can appreciate the level of detail that you put into this vehicle. I got to fire one of these during an excercise once over at White Sands New Mexico. What a thrill that was!!!
