1983 Ducati 750 TT1

This the 3rd Ducati of the 3 that MFH released.  I especially like this one because it very closely resembles the 87 F1 that I own.






First off is unpacking and an inventory of the parts.

It may seem like I built the last two rather quickly, but all three were pre-started.....LOL  I went to a IPMS contest on Sept 9 with two older builds (bikes) and it made me realize I needed to finish another bike.  So the Imola racer was out of the starting blocks when I discovered this forum.   Then since the SS was such a close build to the racer, that I was able to wizz through it.
So here is picture of 'the state of the build' as of this morning.  I'll post an update when I get back from the LHS.

To begin this build I got the chassis pieces together and cleaned them up and assembled the chassis.





Then I assembled the engine block halves and tweaked the chassis to fit it.





Now we come to the reason for my visit to the LHS.  The swingarm pivots off of the engine.  The pivot pipe that MFH supplied has somehow gone MIA.  So I called around and found the correct size at one of my LHS.  








The frame was primered,  then shot with Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red.

Thanks for following along, guys.

I got the pieces together that are going to be semi-black and sprayed them with a automotive direct-to-metal black.  I also used (for the first time) some skewers I found at Michael's craft store.  Very nice pointy sticks for those small parts.






Cylinder and head parts cleaned up, then assembled.








Next up will be to assemble the dry clutch.  All of the clutch plates are represented by p/e.

This bike is so detailed I'm surprised they don't include gaskets! The motor looks the part already and it's far from complete. The threads of your builds are just a joy to follow

Thank you Brent.  The first on-line forum I discovered had very strict rules regarding punctuation, spelling, and coherence.  So I learned the proper way to present a WIP as a newbie.

I wish I could try it at a track day.  But I essentially have the street version, so that will have to do.   Plus I'm having a difficult time finding 1/9 scale gas.

I was going to paint the clutch plates, but now I'm glad I didn't.  The added paint would have made the clutch stack too tall.  Plus it's covered up by a side cover so you can't even see them.
