I started this in June this year and wrapped it up for a show in Sept. It may not be your typical “model” but it is scratch build and uses parts sourced from different things. If this build has any interest, I will post some “in progress” photos. URL=https://imageshack.com/i/pmW7M3kDj] [/URL]

Ok, now that Joe has spent countless hours helping me figure out how to post pictures (yea, I’m a slow learner…) I’ve got it! Here are some of the build pictures: Starting off with an old wheelbarrow and a set of golf cart wheels that I painted red and added trim rings too.

First thing was figuring out the drive train and building the rear section of the frame. Next was building the rest of the frame to fit the tub.

Once the overall length looked right, I started working on the front axle. The front rims are boat trailer rims and the radiator is an old wagon.

Future plans are for a windshield frame (I already have the material to make it) and a generator to power the headlights. I’ll try to get another picture of it once the paint dries. Thanks for indulging me with my project!

That is ridiculously cool! Love the license plate.👍 Thanks! I built it to cruise around in at a car show I attend every year. I think I’ll bring out as part of my Halloween decorations this year too. As for the plate I was thinking that with all the rusty metal a Tetanus shot may be required before driving it!

C cab would be sweet! I should consider that! Maybe make a go cart version of Monograms Paddy Wagon!

C cab would be sweet! I should consider that! Maybe make a go cart version of Monograms Paddy Wagon! The great thing about the "Show Rod" look is it lends itself to caricature. Making the vertical height of any panel wagon body disproportionately tall would look right as part of that theme and ease access for yourself. I don't want to inflict that much extra work on you, but would it be possible to route the exhaust so it exits just forward of the rear wheels, perhaps on both sides? It could then come out via the trumpet end of (a pair of?) dummy side pipes which start with a set of complicated headers "emerging" from the side(s) of the hood where you currently have a set of dumps. To round off the theme, a hole in the top of the hood under which is a shallow pan that doesn't intrude too much into your leg space. This could then be the base for some unfeasibly large dummy induction system. The Weiand blower on Mad Max's "Black-on-black" Interceptor was, I understand, such a dummy spun by an electric motor. If your item was built with sufficient internal volume to accommodate such a power unit you could then include a concealed shaker device and you could add such belts, windmills, Traction Engine "Spinning Balls" governors, etc., to your heart's content. qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-65aaec9d197bb4828529728de1ff2f2a-lqwww.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2F77-mustang-v0-5jkm6fyz39qb1.jpg%3Fauto%3Dwebp%26s%3D724956d5f206a21513cbe7589a4ed6971bf578b8Your invention will already get noticed at any event you attend, but taking it to the next level by turning it into a mini-"Show Rod" tribute would certainly cause eyebrows to raise, if not jaws to drop... Good ideas. I actually have an air cleaner from a Sportster than I was going to mount protruding through the hood. As anyone who has a hot rod, they aren’t ever “finished” they are just in whatever current state they are in!
