This is an solar panel canoe,  from ETS (ÉCOLE DE TECHNOLOGIE SUPÉRIEURE) , every year they do a prototype of some sort and they have an competition between universaty !

 You bet , I use to have some good pics when I build it , but I have'nt kept them . probably if you run a Google search you wil find some !

Does the solar array power some sort of motor? In my understanding and very limited experience with such craft, a canoe is a narrow open hull water craft that is usually propelled by some sort of oars or paddles.

Yes there is an electrical engine just of the front of the cabin ..
