It may be November but this was finished in the last week in October. I also am not quite sure where this would go, so here it is since it does have two wheels. This is an ancient UPC model of the Roman Racing Chariot circa 34AD. It was actually fairly easy to build; the most difficult part being cementing the horses down in the proper position so the harness would fit right. Aft6er some work, it is done well enough to call it completed: And here is a little close up shot of the crew: My apologies for the poor pictures. I got a new camera from my nephew, but the instruction sheet was missing. I'm still experimenting with it to get the best possible results. Thank you for looking in, comments are welcome.

Hahahaha. No doubt it is a two seater. I was enjoying seeing this build in the factory tours. Great work on it. Had to be a fun one to stick together. I love the obscure stuff like this!

Four horses under that hood! if it only had a hood It's too bad that model companies don't do such eclectic kits like these anymore... Historical models of many eras... Very nicely done Mark!

Well, you've certainly got the two-wheel effect covered with this one. At four horsepower, she's a screamer!!
Great lookin' build brother!!

Great use of colors on the chariot! Really cool to see something outside the box build wise!

Thank you guys for all the awesome comments! I hadn't thought of the "four horsepower" idea, that was brilliant! I am thrilled to find these wild and esoteric kits and build them up.

I don't think this has much to do with Roman Racing Chariots, which were lightweight vehicles with only a driver, regardless whether a biga (2 horse) or quadriga (4 horse) type. It owes more to Victorian era monuments such as the one on the Brandenburg gate. Two crew would indicate an Essedum, named for the Celtic War Chariot and was crewed by an Essedarius and a driver. Although the Essedum was itself a fast and manoeuvrable light vehicle, it is possible it evolved into a more elaborate form as the emphasis seems to have shifted to the Essedarius himself rather than the skills of the driver. The Chariots in the movie "Gladiator" may have been basically correct apart from the use of bows and crossbows.
Regards,
M

Tcoat, that rocks! I would love t have one of those someday....
Excellent information M. I just went with the description on the box and instruction sheet. This is still more than I ever knew about chariots and I am most appreciative of you for posting this most helpful information.

Thank you Leon! I do enjoy doing unique and different subjects now and then, especially if they capture my interest. It's nice to "shake things up" a bit now and then.
