I wanted to build something different than what I normally build and also a bit smaller than 1/9 I have always found LRDG an interesting subject, so I got out of my comfort zone and built this vehicle. The Jeep is from Takom and the conversion from SOL to make an LRDG Jeep.I cannot understand why there are only German Jerrycans in the set and also not a few American and British ones. So far the fit of the Jeep is good and the Jerrycans from the SOL set still need some TLC.

More evidence of how much 1/16 is growing in popularity.
Looking forward to watching you build this one.

Yes, the bigger, the better, right? That is, of course, if you have room in your cabinet when it's done, HA! Ruck On Bby!

In the meantime, a little further. Removed some parts for the canvas roof frame and drilled holes where the parts were. Window mounting and also removed from the mirror and drilled holes where they were. I also replaced some bolts, rivets and snaps that were lost during sanding. Some bolts were installed under the fenders so you can see them properly, even when the wheel is in place. The resin parts in the photo are both one mm short, well resin sometimes shrinks during drying. It's actually a bit redundant that these are included in the set, the improvements are minimal and besides that they forgot to adjust everything, so I enjoy using the kit parts.

I really enjoy everything that's going on in this build. Funny about "upgraded" parts that sometimes don't work out and in this case it turns out that the kit parts are just as good. Looking great so far Ron!!

This is making fine progress, when it gets more along you should give us a size comparison with some 1/35 kit.
