Right then, got a question. I have a '94 Toyota pickup, my EDD, that I love dearly. This GB makes me wish to reproduce it in scale, so the question is, with some background...research indicates that the 6th generation Toyota pickups like mine had all the parts used in them except the box manufactured in Japan. These parts kits were then sent to the US, Long Beach, CA I gather, and assembled with a US fabricated box. All this considered, would such a project meet the criteria require for the Born in the USA GB? My old 1996 Tacoma was built at the NUUMI plant in Fremont, California, and I thought the prior generation had been built there as well. My current Tundra was built in Texas, and my Subaru Forester came from Indiana. A lot of the Japanese trucks are built in the US because of the 1960s "Chicken tax". Of course there were also the rebadged trucks like the Chevy LUV (Isuzu), Ford Courier (Mazda) and Dodge Ram 50 (Mitsubishi). Bit of a Pandora's box.

As a New Years resolution, I'm going to finish a Group Build. Go ahead and put me down for an AMT 1925 Model T. If I cant get that done by June then I can give up all fantasy of building out the stash before I shuffle off the planet. Nice!! I built one of theirs in a double boxing hot rod and stock version. Super fun. Yeah, they are nice fairly basic kits, but they build up nice and Model Ts have so much variety. I have a couple of the 2 in 1 kits and several others as well. Also some resin conversions so I'll have to see what speaks to me when I head down to the basement and browse through the stash. My intent is to keep it simple, but I'm not very good at that.

I cant be 100% certain but im sure both my dads trucks were made there. And my step moms Prism. Random fact. I used to use an old backroad behind NUMI to take pics of newly purchased cars. WHen Tesla moved in they closed it. Jerks...

Im giving Paul the honorary best stash award. He just keeps pulling out amazing kits. Agreed. Paul has all the great stuff. You guys crack me up. But I've been thinking that if it's a USA made civilian vehicle, then you could also do any almost Indy car, NASCAR, or drag car. I even have a couple of Trans-Am Camaros stashed away. LOL

I'm jumping in with this Moebius Nova. I should get it done even though it needs to be back dated to what is was. An S/XS Bill Thomas kit car for a factory experimental class from 1964 65.
