I attended the Austin Texas show a month ago and ran a vendor table. One of the items I was selling was the 1/48 G.W.H F-15I. I purchased it at the Nats completly forgetting I already had one in the stash . Even though it came with some nice AM, nobody wanted it at the steal of a price I was selling it for. One of the other vendors came up to me close to the end of the day and wanted to know if I wanted to trade for the 1/72 Mdelcollect B-2A. Well, since I've been wanting a B-2, other than the older Testers version, I agreed, and traded the F-15I kit for the typicaly more expensive B-2. After getting my new prize home, I began reading reviews on this beauty. Hmm, there seems to be some major fit issues on the wings....you know, the STEALTH wings with no seams. Not being one to back down from a challange I decided that, along with everthing else I have going in my life, I was going to add this beasty to the list. The pictures of the completed build that I've seen on the internet look impressive. I can do this I told myself, I've done harder builds. SO long story short, I will be starting on it, probably tomorrow.....hopefully.

Nice score! With your skills, I’m sure that you will whip this kit into shape, no problem.

Good to see you back at the bench Steve ( modelcrazy) and what a build to watch. Having never seen this kit before, I'm curious to see not only what's in the box but also how you handle building it. Bookmarked.........

Steve, having built t5he old Testor's kit, I am greatly looking forward to watching this go together. I remember the Testor's kit had serious wing fit issues too, but I had gotten mine done. I need to replace it now, so I'll be watching this closely.

Thanks guys. Mark, I've seen some builds on the internet that looked good. Those who soldier through are rewarded. I know there are some cockpit issues but dry fitting the pit into the upper fuse...wing...whatever it is, you ready can't see anything so I'm not going to knock myself out for it. One thing I'm having troubles with is the interior color. The only colors listed are white and gunship gray. I assume the exterior is gunship gray and the wheel wells and such are white but everything I see for the cockpit is light grayish. What's that color? Maybe I should't worry about it and paint it white with a little gray mixed in. No one will notice anyway. I'll get some pics up when I get far enough along. I should have most of the day after church to work on it.

The cockpit looks to be the standard Dark Gull Gray, with all the instruments being glass type computer screens with black frames.

Way too tiny but it has nice details! Yeah, I would prefer a 1/48 but I don't think anyone makes one. I'm interested to see who makes the B21 one of these days.

Bigger than a B-58, but not quite B-52 size. I've seen 'em flying a few times in real life and not much length or height, but man that wingspan from the front...

Well, there have been photos of the real B-21 going about its business, so a model kit can't be far off. But an accurate one? We'll have to wait and see. I believe Titan Models makes a vac-form B-2 in 1/48, with ala carte resin printed detail parts like the cockpit, wheel wells, bomb bay, etc.
