This was a unique build in that the Zimmerit came in the kit. It’s actually thin plastic parts you apply to the hull and turret during assembly. Overall it worked really well.

The Zimmerit on this kit went on really easy and the fit was perfect. No issues at all. Tamiya makes Zimmerit sheets that are also good to use. You have to cut them out really carefully. But they turn out nicely for the most part.

For the most part I’ll either stick to the in-box decals. But I also save leftover decals from all my kits so I can use rh on future builds. This is particularly helpful on German AFVs for applying different unit markings.

Really the only aftermarket decals I have is a sheet of Swastikas I ordered from eBay to use on Luftwaffe kits that don’t come with them in the box.
