Do love the gaping yaw aircraft! And that F8 wing is cool. I have the hasegawa kit in the stash (same plastic I believe ) Nice job weathering and the pit is very nice. Zunis are great looking to. Poking around I found this over on brit modeler - pretty spot on my friend

Poking around I found this over on brit modeler - pretty spot on my friend And there she is in all of her hulking beauty. I do not believe I have seen that pic. It is the same plastic indeed. Thank you for having a gander. The Zunis are the kit offering, and they were molded with some painful seam lines. Patient sanding and scraping fixed them.

That is a beautifully rendered F-8 Dave. You nailed the overall appearance of this gorgeous jet. Excellent paint and detailing. I've really got to get around to building either my 1/72 or 1/48. You have certainly given me some inspiration. Thanks for sharing this with us.

One of my favorites by you for sure! You nailed it with the weathering to make it look very realistic. The paint job of yellow stripes on the windshield was done perfectly. How did you do that?!? I always liked its odd shaped fuselage especially its nose.

Gorgeous F-8 sir! I'll second the question, canopy seals,,,, decals or painted? Like the rest of the build they look perfect!

I always liked its odd shaped fuselage especially its nose. Thank you Andy. The weathering on this one was an exercise for me, especially around the gun ports. As a tip of the hat to the "Last of the gunfighters". The yellow stripes around the glass represents caulking, and its a kit decal. I was apprehensive about them, but they worked out perfectly.

Really nice that cockpit looks awesome. Thank you. It's the reason I had the canopy open. Which by the way requires a little bit of surgery to the fuselage and aft end of the canopy to pull off.

I've always liked the look of these birds as well Dave. Man....there is a LOT going on with this build and I think you may have thrown everything available in the AM world at it. If it weren't sitting on your bench one could take this for the real thing. Fantastic modeling!!

I won't say I didn't make jet noises when building this one.

I must've dive bombed about everything in my room back then making airplane noises.

I did most of the work, but I remember him painting the pilots... good times! Mine sank the IJN Coffee Table many times with that dropping bomb.
