I built a model ship, the HMS Endeavour Bark 1768 by S.Coleman - Artesania Latina - 1:60 scale, during my teenage years in the 90's. Unfortunately, through the struggles of a rather nasty divorce, the ex-wife decided to invoke considerable damage to it. It's now been agreed to be repaired. The damage is primarily to the masts, rigging, and about 25% of the deck, and I can provide pictures. I'm seeking someone to provide an estimate and repair the ship. I understand it will likely be quite expensive and everyone is prepared for that cost. I'm located in St. Augustine, Florida, and would prefer someone local, but I'm open to shipping it elsewhere. I'm also willing to purchase a second kit for parts, leaving the builder with a nice set of spare parts. Time isn't a major issue, as long as it can be rebuilt within a year. Life is just too busy for me to undertake this project myself right now. Thank you all for giving this a read and your suggestions.

First off, welcome to the forum.
Secondly, I might know of someone to help out but let me reach out to him first. No promises but I’ll try. Sorry to hear of your situation Perry.

One of my friends Nader repairs those kind of ships professionally and I know his service isn't cheap. However he is located in Massachusetts. Maybe I can ask him if he knows somebody who can do the job in Florida for you if you are still interested?

Ok.....the guy I had cannot commit.....BUT.....it looks like Andy (aka deafpanzer) has possibly got you covered. Sorry for your troubles, that looks rough. There is always the option to do it yourself when you have time. Life does have a way of getting in the way of this Sport, but a little time here and there might be worth it, and the learning would be priceless.
Just a thought. Cheers, Ski.

My lawyer is asking what eveyone thinks the "general cost range" would be to fix such the ship. Based on my providing a new kit, if I can source one. Whoever completes it, can keep the kit for spare parts which could be handy. But the big drive right now is trying to figure out an estimated cost of repair. I'll ship it at my cost and I'll figure out how to ship it back... probably uShip. Anyone have any thoughts?
