My Breast Cancer Awareness build is complete 🌷🌸
My Mom and my Sister are both survivors. Here’s to all of the women who endure through this experience. Shirley Muldowney portrays that to me as a racer and competitor.
I built this out of the box. Many thanks to Mack from the Fame Cities IPMS Ed Kinney Chapter who graciously donated the kit..all he wanted was the box art back!!





















Looks like the pressure got to her competition because they red-lighted 😆
The background is the Pamona Raceway, Shirley’s last race. While the car is much earlier in her career Ithink the setting is appropriate 👍

A truly spectacular turn out of an icon of a car and driver Chris. I’ve not ever completed a rail car like this before but I’m sure this one has its challenges along the way, all of which you overcame to create this end result with. Thank you for being a part of the Red Hot & Rollin’ GB potna.

PS. The reason behind the build is just as great as the build. Glad that your mom and sister are now cancer free.

First off I am very happy your sister and mom are survivors! This build must have had a special feeling doing and you knocked it out of the park. I still don't know how you got her to fit in there but you prevailed! Although not breast cancer, my wife had a battle through AML Leukemia but I am more than happy to say she is in her 4th year of remission. Congrats on a great looking and very appropriate build!

Fantastic! I love that era of rails and torquing the right front wheel is very cool. Great job.

EDIT: Just found out they are closing Autoclub speedway/dragway in Fontana.  Bummer - been on strip and the roval many times.

I lived just down the street from Shirley's ex-husband Jack's gas station. A very unassuming place.
