I start this Dragon kit yesterday: These are my first victim....er...I mean, my first try to built and paint 1/35 horses; let me introduce to you to Natasha (left) and Sergey (right) Of course, I am not able to built a model OOB, so, searching the web, I found my first issue. The part pointed by the blue line, called cinch or girth is molded under the....er...blanket? But Dragon box show a drawing with the cinch as part of the saddle, and I understand that part must be atop the blanket...or I'm wrong? Parts of the saddle can be seen here: www.western-saddle-guide.com/images/parts-labels2.jpgenglishsaddleguide.com/images/english-saddle-diagram.gifThanks for your help Darío

Hello Dario!! Looking forward to this one!!! Count me in! I think, first off, "Dragon Directions" well.... ...yeah, they all leave a little to be desired. LOL...Why would this kit be any different? ;D As for position of the cinch strap in question, we might have to wait for one or two of the resident figure/ equestrian experts. But it does appear to be apart of the saddle which might be Dragon decided to shortcut the application....of course incorrectly.

Thanks TRM! BTW, which of the two tails seems "less worse"? Natasha's hemp tail or Sergey palstic tail? Darío

Hi Dario, good looking kits and yes you are right the girth strap would be over the blanket, just make a new one out of lead foil

Thanks guys. I enjoyed a lot painting this horses. Here is Natasha, painted with acrilics; I painted shadows and highlights, but I need to blend it a bit with the base color and paint details, hair, saddle, etc And Sergey, painted with oils, following the directions of Mr. Sheperd Paine book: Thanks for looking and comment Darío
