My beatiful wife and Shepard pup moved into our brand new home yesterday, what a chore...here is a pic of Perrys " man cave" pre nesting phase. Planning on getting it squared away for the GB, this place has good vibes.

I would love to occupy our upstairs guest room. The wife will never let it happen so its the garage for me. Good for you! This will be amazing once complete.

Built this shelf several years ago, I'm pretty proud of it as I'm not a carpenter but it turned outvpretty good. The clear is 1/8 plexiglass to save weight, and the lights are LED light strips I just bought. It is in our hallway just inside the front door. I plan on filling it up with all kinds of stuff, armor, ships, subs. Except for the stuff on it already which have homes once cleaned off. Now I gotta get my butt to the bench.

It's awesome to have a hobby room, isn't it? It took me over 30 years to get mine, but it was worth it!

Excellent, and the appropriate wall mountings ta boot!
Quick question; the paint booth vent into the box, will that actually work, or does it still produce the odor, fumes, etc? I either need to go the box route or punch an exterior hole for venting, but it's a bit chilly out right now, lol.

My box has 2 vents, it is a down draught and is set up to exhaust from the right side of the bittom. I used 2 aluminium dryer hoses clamped to the outlets then run into a " Y" on top of the lint box on the floor. I could not find light weight fittings anywhere...maybe cause I don't call them by their " trade names" so I worked with what I could find. I stuffed some batting from an old pillow into the lint box to absorb any errant wet particales, air moves thru very well, no issues with blow back. IF I was ambitious I could create a vent that would mount in the window and exhaust outside however that would require fiddling with set up as I'm not leaving a window open at -10*F Not sure how to mitigate the fumes from solvent based paints, my plan was for the batting to also absorb any smell....I personally do not notice a difference. Again I use almost exclusively acrylics so...

Roger that Perry, cause I've got to vent mine soon. Have you considered punching thru the exterior wall? It would be just another dryer vent type fitting outside, basically. I will be adding some fine screen mesh at the flapper section. I picked up the duct work two days ago and had sticker shock, one foot metal 4" tube with vent flapper, plus 4" to 3" reducer, $23 bloody bucks. And nobody in this neck of the woods has a scutcheon plate for the inside, but a 1/4" piece of plywood will do the same.
I too, mostly use acrylics in the booth, but many times I've needed enamels, or highly toxic paints, so I was wondering how that worked for you. I may need to reconsider how I'm going to do this.
