Too much death and destruction on TV etc. Lets have some positive vibes here...List few thing that were super good in 2023. Post photos if you like. Art, culture. events whatever made you happy.
1. Taking the wife and kids to Croatia and Montenegro. Great weather, great food, great time, great trip
2. This is sort of ongoing but seeing my patients regain their lives after surgery
3. Art and culture wise, it was again the trip to the old country, so much to see there.
What do you have?

Castelnuovo, what a great idea!!!
Year 2023 is expected to be a slow year for us as we are still paying for the Europe trip back in 2022. LOL
Best news for me personally...
1. Both boys have returned to college after taking a break for two years due to the pandemic.
2. Finished a model kit finally after 5 years hiatus!
3. Found my way back here at MSC with friends encouragement.

Well, I'll have to include getting over a bout with cancer, non-Hodgins lymphoma. They tell me all is well now. Getting my new garage done and using it for a Christmas party last weekend: Been taking lots of pictures today with a 100mm macro:

Glad to hear your healthy John. Where the heck did you put all your model gear??? You don't want to look in the garage I do my plastic modeling in or the 8 X 15 building that is where I keep most of my R/C models, many hanging like bats!

Well, I'll have to include getting over a bout with cancer, non-Hodgins lymphoma. They tell me all is well now. That is terrific news! Congratulations! Good news from 2023 let's see... - Son started the first grade - I got a new job (same company but they restructured, I found an area we needed someone in and presented it to directors and essentially created my own new position) - Got my Father-in-laws truck up and running which both my son and I love - Didn't do any major travel but we went to Hawaii twice (Wifes favorite travel spot) - Joined MSC and reignited the passion for modeling getting to know a lot of cool people along the way - Helped my niece move into her very first apartment Have to say it was a long, tough year but still a good one!

It's been an absolutely horrible year for me (actually last 3 years). The only good things was that I got to go to Nationals and meet some awesome people. But work killed that high right after I got home so...

'23 was pretty hum drum, couple of surgeries for my fistula, a week in the hospital for emergancy dialysis cause my kidneys tanked. Had to fore go the Nats because of it...very bummed. Thinks started looking up when I bought my trike, did what I needed to do to get re instated to my motorcycle group. Bought the wife a brand new dishwasher...just so happens a new house came with it. My truck and bike were paid off with proceefs from my old home sale so '23 is ending on a fine note.

Well, this year‘s actually been a decent year but wrapping up with great news. My son, who plays baseball at Texas Tech, has been contacted by the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians. We have difficult years and we have good years. This was a good year. Hoping the trend continues!

I played baseball in high school, but I was ever a mediocre player. That is awesome! Congrats!

I always try to find something to be thankful for everyday and it was a good year.A little traveling, back to NJ to see family and friends, trips to Amelia Island and Charleston, not to mention local trips to small mountain towns,Biltmore, and the Blue Ridge.Day to day life is always enjoyable, just living. On the down side my 87 yr old mother is sliding into Dementia, her short term memory is gone, but she knows us and is still strong otherwise.Wife and I are good as ever.Looking forward to 24

Sorry to hear that. My dad is struggling with some memory issues as well. It's tough. You have a great outlook though! Enjoy 2024

2017-2019 were pretty much rock bottom for me. Then there was 2020 which was fun for all. Things have been getting better each year since. This past October a friend I've known since the 4th grade came to visit. He moved to Europe in the 80s but we have stayed in touch and exchange visits back and forth every few years. We started off going to San Francisco where we saw the USS Pampanito (WW2 Balao class sub) and then Alameda to see the USS Hornet. My youngest tagged along on these two trips. On another day we went to Richmond to visit the Rosie the Riveter museum and the USS Red Oak, a WW2 Victory ship. Then we took a road trip that included the Castle AFB air museum, and Planes of Fame in Chino. The past couple weeks I was working in Mississippi and had the chance to go visit the Vicksburg battlefield park. So 2023 has been a pretty good year. Ferry ride to San Francisco B23 at Castle AFB (Atwater CA) P26 and F4B4 at Planes of Fame (Chino CA) Both of these are airworthy and get flown on occasion. Vicksburg, MS

At the end of 2016 my mother started to decline rapidly from dementia and I acted as her conservator, until she passed at the end of 2018. It is brutal to deal with, I wish you well.
