I've always had an admiration for the theory behind these aircraft (not the destruction they caused mind you) just for the ingenuity behind them. I built one when I was younger but it always looked bare because it was a stand alone build without the launch rail and the proper setting. You've definitely captured "the look" with the launch rail and the setting Keith. Very well done on all counts bud.

Thank you all! The story surrounding the V-1 is pretty interesting if you ever have time to look into it. One of the primary defenses used against it was large balloons with metal tethers put high into the sky. The hope was that the V-1 would either run into the balloon or the metal tether causing it to either explode or veer off course(though I don’t think they needed much help to not be accurate).

This rocks! I have the Modelcollect 1/72 scale version of this rocket that I need to finish. I have most of the launch rail done already.
Interestingly enough, one of these fell on the building where my great uncle Tom was sleeping in his flat after returning from an OSS mission behind the lines the day before. He didn't make it, but at least he went in his sleep.
