Hi All, this project has been on the bench for quite a while. It's been a bit of a filler build. It's also my first attempt at a display base in this scale 1:25. I've done a bit in H.O scale (1:87) The inspiration from this build came from an American railway magazine. I was helping dad clear up after one of his model railway friends passed away and as no one else wanted the magazines he kept a few. In the magazine, towards the rear, was an article on loading an AC Mack using an old Fordson tractor and donkey drums and cables. The article suggests the photo is from about 1924 in Whatcom County, Washington. The Mack shown was built prior to 1922 as evidenced by the mesh sides in the bonnet. I've used some modelers license on the build but it's fairly close. I'm nearly finished the driver figure. When i have, I'll add him to the scene and try to get some outside photos.

Oh WOW!! I always like a good scene and then you go and drop this beauty right into it. What a well painted and weathered example of a classic hauling truck. Is this the old Monogram kit Tim? Man this looks good!!!

That is some outstanding work you're showing us here! Please post more detail pictures and tell us something about the process how you painted the truck body.

Well done, Dean! This one would be scary on a steep downgrade.

Well done, Dean! This one would be scary on a steep downgrade. Be pretty scary on a slight grade!

Absolutely incredible. I love this kit. And I love where you’ve taken this one. What a very cool diorama.

That turned out great! Ya that's a darned big log for that truck - wouldn't even brake hard... not that those old trucks could stop on those pizza cutters.

Dean…very very cool. I absolutely love me some AC Mack action and the outdoor photos are killer!! Time for me to dig that stake truck out and get her built.

Wow, that early Mack is super cool and extremely realistic and well done. Awesome work. Don't worry about the driver, he's just a poser pretending to be a lumberjack anyway.

Most excellent work in the weathering aspect of this one and some really good shots of this outside to put it into a proper environment Tim. Don't you worry a THING about your figure painting skills bro......there aint no WAY I could pull that one off.
