Hey, I have a 1/48 imperial Japanese carrier deck that I built to display the three planes that attacked Pearl Harbor. Besides the planes, I have a set of 2 IJN pilots from Hasegawa. I’m having a hard time finding any additional figures or other neat diorama enhancing kits/prints. I’m open to suggestions on possible additions to the deck to help enhance realism. The deck section (IJN carrier Hiryu): Thanks for any tips or advice!

I ran into the same issue when I started planning my I-400 Seiran projects. I need aircraft handlers and pilots and there is just not much out there. I ended up buying the Tamiya Zero kit just for the pilots. Not that I didn't buid the Zero mind you! There are 4 in the kit in very nice poses and well sculpted. So far for aircraft handlers I will be using the really really old Monogram/Revell molds that come with pretty much every US bomber kit. Of course the uniforms will by altered to be more Japanese like. Let me introduce you to the ground crew that will be prepping the Seiran. From left to right we have: Let's have a toast even though my beer mug has disappeared man. Ripped my shirt off and am going to use my freakishly long and skinny arms to cut you with this box cutter dude. And ... The ever popular I am far to drunk to walk I am crawling back to barracks guy Mind you having a handful of guys prepping a plane on a small section of sub deck is easy compared to filling a carrier deck and making it look busy.
