I never believed that I would ever get to post this and say that it is finished, but here it is, finally completed after a long hard fight. Here is my first armor/vehicle completed in December. This is the armory 1/72 scale Russian ZSU-23-4 Shilka anti-aircraft vehicle. My Russian Army has finally taken delivery two days ago:    Thank you for looking in, comments are always welcome. Thank you Carlos! That is one reason why I always wanted one in my collection. I also wanted to make various others in different countries' liveries but after the fight this one gave me; not happening.

Thank you Carlos! That is one reason why I always wanted one in my collection. I also wanted to make various others in different countries' liveries but after the fight this one gave me; not happening. Are there any other 1/72 Shilka kits available? I know what you mean about making them in various liveries…. I have built one in 1991 Iraqi markings, plan to do the other one in my stash in Syrian 1973 colors, and would like to do one in Cold War Soviet markings similar to yours here. |

Yes Carlos, there are three other variants made by the same company Armory in 1/72 scale. They have a first production version, a 1970's era one which I think is the one I built, then a 1980's variant and finally a 1991+ variant. If they are all as difficult to build as this one, the cost is not worth the aggravation.
