Eduard detail set for F1M Pete

Hey all,

I got the 1/48 Hasegawa F1M2 Pete kit for Christmas and would like the accompanying Eduard detail set. According to Eduard, it has been discontinued and I am having a challenging time finding it anywhere online (including eBay). 

Does anyone happen to have a lead on this set? If so, it would be much appreciated!

Yep, I started out by looking there. It might be a lost cause. I searched for a good bit last night and couldn’t find it.

There is a chance that I may be able to help you out with that. I have this kit in my stash and I believe I bought the PE set for it shortly after I got it. Not 100% sure. I will check my stash storage tomorrow and if I do indeed have it you are welcome to it as I will not be building that kit anytime soon. I'll get back to you on that.

Regrettably, I was totally mistaken. I found my kit, alas, I had not obtained the PE set for it. I was hopeful. I will keep my eye peeled for you though.

My go-to for Eduard stuff - both on price and availability - is Hannant's in the UK. Unfortunately, they don't have ANY of the Eduard sets for the Pete. Which is strange. That's a fairly new kit. How do they or Eduard not have anything?

The best I could determine from my quest was that they made the etch for the first issue of this kit back in 2009 and never did it again. May not have been a great seller that wasn't worth reissuing.

In doing a little research for this the Eduard set seems to be unobtainable. But I did find that Hasegawa made an upgrade set. Set # 72132 is a PE set for the PETE. I found it for sale on Amazon
