Before 2023 I had not completed a model since maybe 2003? I cant remember it was so long ago. It might have even been since the 90's LOL While cleaning up the garage my son saw a box that said model cars and HAD to know what was inside. What he saw was my once bedroom sized stash that I had sold off down to two boxes. He begged and begged for me to build him a green car and he loves Nissan so.. I spent MAYBE a total of 8 hours building this. It was like 20 minutes a night for a while when I had time. Honestly, I didnt think I would fully get back into the hobby until I found a GB on FSM while researching something.  After I built this, he wanted another so I dug around and found another half finished car and gave him this Fujimi CRX. At this point, I started feeling bad because he was asking me to build these things, and they were honestly not very good looking but he was so proud to have them in his room.  So, when He came asked for me a Rocket to match his space themed room I took it a bit more seriously and built him the Revell 1/144 Saturn V (His "favorite rocket ship of all time") I ordered this on Ebayt, and when it arrived the base was broken. I asked the seller if he would just contact Revell and have them send a new one. Instead he sent me an entire 2nd kit for free. So because of that, I decided to skip building it totally accurate inside and replaced the guts with batteries, LED wiring and added the smoke to make it look like it was blasting off.  It was after this that I really decided I wanted to get back into the hobby for real.. which led me here... and hopefully 2024 will lead to some much better looking builds! |

He is big into space and rockets and planets and such. I had a friend who worked for NASA brought me these posters from his office. He never complains about bed time haha  |

It takes what it takes in getting back into the hobby James and I'm glad you did. Furthermore, I'm glad you decided to join MSC to share your work with us as it's been a true pleasure in having you here. May 2024 indeed be a great year for modeling.

I bought him some artwork several years before he was even born with the hopes of designing his/her room this way.
