1/350 Hasegawa Akagi

This build will likely start sometime in late February - early March once I finish my current 1/350 ship (Mogami aircraft carrying cruiser) 

As you can see from the images, I have decided to go “all out” on this build. 




The following add ons/aftermarket parts are as follows:
•Hasegawa Akagi Wooden Deck 
•Eduard Akagi rear columns 
•Eduard Akagi detail set 
•Infini 1/350 aircraft detail set x2
•Hasegawa General Jack Stay 
•Hasegawa IJN carrier based aircraft set 1/350















 

I anticipate this build to take me 6+ months to complete.

Terror - Holy cow! this is going to be incredible. Already book marked. Cannot wait to see what you are going to do, especially with all the PE. I learn some more on that front watching this come together.

Thanks for the interest everyone! Hopefully I will do this kit justice. stikpusher - This project will be done in the background while my other projects dry/cure etc..

Tentative start date is going to be February 23rd. I need that much time to complete the Mogami build I think...

WOW, what a beauty!!! Does the finials (stand posts) come with the kit, and are they metal? I’m going to love seeing this come together, and I have never worked with PE so, really looking forward to anything you can share with how you go about it please

lol, I’m def running way behind. Have been dealing with non stop irl issues. Plus I got really side tracked with the pacific backdrop I made. That ate up a few weeks of build time.
