Well, now that I've joined the board, and introduced myself, I suppose that I should post something, huh.
This was my latest project, completed a couple of months ago.
It's an original AMT 1964 Pontiac Bonneville convertible annual kit, that has been poked, prodded and massaged into a much more detailed model than it was originally.
I won't go into all of the details, but there have been a fairly extensive number of modifications performed, including a complete chassis stretch and swap, engine bay and engine swap, as well as the interior being blown apart and totally re-worked.
A good portion of the parts have been robbed from the Moebius 1961 Pontiac Ventura kit, as well as a good number of engine/engine bay parts from the Revell '66 GTO, not to mention a fair amount of scratch made components and modified parts from where ever they could be scrounged.
The model is painted in correct 1964 Pontiac "Aquamarine" from MCW.
Enjoy!
This is what I started with.

Super clean build. Fantastic engine and interior and chassis. Nice photography. Looks 1:1. That’s all for now. :^)

I don’t even have the words to describe this build. Incredible work. If you photographed it in some forced perspective shots you wouldn’t be able to convince me I couldn’t drive away in it. Gorgeous color too and I particularly like the way you’ve weathered it and the realistic air cleaner and cover assembly.

Yea, that first photo with the air cleaner removed, from a slightly different perspective, it would be VERY hard to determine f real or model. Excellent work!

There are just not enough good things to say about this build Steve. I really like the way that you capitalized on the detail being that it's a convertible. Engine and chassis detailing and weathering are right up there with the best I've ever seen. Then there's the photography aspect of your work which most assuredly compliments the work that you've put into the build. Unbelievable outcome and thank you for sharing this here with us. After seeing this one I can't wait till you post that W-30 up.

Another beauty. I noticed you incorporated a common aircraft trick by sanding flat spots on the tires. Your work is something to aspire to. Keep them coming please.

It's kind of surprising to me how few car modelers have seen or heard of the "flat spotting", or "weighting" tires technique.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who's ever done it!
It's funny how often people will ask me, "why did you sand the tires flat?"
