Joe asked if I could write down my build of this kit and it's been a hot minute since I built it, but I'll do my best to remember.
The kit it a Kinetic E2-C Hawkeye and it is just about as big as the B-17 overall. I built this one out of the box with the exception of aerial cables. You can build this with wings folded and that really helps with the room it takes up. Besides I think it adds more the kit to see it like this. I painted it with Mr Hobby Color paints and kit decals, which were splendid. She is a HUGE tail sitter and they call for 100 gram nose weights. Ya right! I have over 200 grams in the nose and she is balanced. If I just tap the tail it will rest back on it. So, be warned. The kit has one major issue that everyone seems to run into and that is the join at the wings being warped on pretty much every kit. I used some firm rubber bands and a lot of heat and she settled down where she is supposed to be, but it didn't go willingly. Other than that this is a great kit and looks super when done and has tons of details. If you ever wanted to build one, go for it. Love this build. Easily one of my overall faves in my collection.

Oh my goodness!! This is awesome!! Sorry I can't really add more than that as I just don't know what to say. I think the Hawkeye is super cool and this has to be the best scale build of one I've seen yet.

I remember that one BK - back in the eye in the sky GB. Just awesome. One of my favorite of your builds.

Very nice, that must be a pretty big model. It's about 90% as big as the Monogram B-17G.

What a stellar build! B-17 size? Sounds massive but the wing fold must make it manageable for space

I did the same kit a couple months ago, it can be a bit of a bear. The amount of weight that needed to be added was crazy. Mine is just like yours, if you tap the tail it will sit right on it's butt. Super annoying. It does look great once finished though. I also opted to fold the wings, due to the sheer amount of space it would of taken up had I not. I like that the kit gave you that option.
