1914 Ford Model T Fire Truck (ICM) 1/24

Presented is the 1/24 scale 1914 Model T Fire Truck with firemen figures. Model was painted with "Cobra Colors" Porsche "Guards Red" without clear coat. Brass parts were painted primarily with Testors Metalizer Brass with others painted with True Metal and Vallejo brass. The figures were painted with Vallejo acrylics with the faces painted with oils. This model was a bear. Mold separation lines and knock out marks on every side of every part. Poor fit of major assemblies and warped body which resulted in one wheel suspended a quarter inch off the ground. I solved this problem by installing shaped lead under the seat support which weighed down the suspension and allowed it to sit on all four wheels.

Beautiful work!! This is a kit I’ve wanted to build.Shame about the fit and finish. But, I’d never guess that you had issues with this one. It looks awesome!! I love the look you’ve achieved with the brass. And the figures are a nice touch.

I've seen this one somewhere before and it's good to see it again Gil. Sounds like this one fought you till the end but you managed to pull through it and produce one heckuva good looking outcome.  Outstanding work bud.
