Those figures are still Marines. The Marines wore a different style of uniform than the Army, and those figures reflect that. The shirts and pants have a different configuration, and the Army did not issue camouflaged helmet covers at that time. I know but at least the two medics are no longer in that blue green Marine uniform of the era. The two "Army" ones don't have camo helmets only the Marines. The standing Army medic with the cap jacket looks like the same colour as the Marines in the picture but it is actually a faded OD and quite different in real life.

The biggest difference is the pockets on the uniforms. The Army fatigue uniform had two large bellows cargo pockets with top flaps on the chest and one on each upper outer thigh. The Marine dungarees had a single side open top chest pocket on the shirt and one open top pocket on each side at waist level, while the pants had front slash pockets and a rear open top patch pocket. No cargo pockets on the sides.

No cargo pockets on the sides. Yep. I looked up the differences and decided that adding pockets was more than i wanted to do for this project so just went with the colour changes. It was a fun little research project as I discovered that there were about 10 different styles and colours of boots in use at that time. I just mixed them up so everybody wasn't identical. I always try to change up the uniforms a bit between each figure because other than basic training or unit wide reissues no two uniforms are exactly the same colour.

What a great project! I did the Revell kit some time ago. Much of the instructions were useless fir the area behind the cabin.

This is coming along well Tony. Details in the pit and engine area are top notch / first class stuff man. Decals look like they behaved well too.
