Another biggie: this was started before my 7 years break (when our first born was born) and actually the first dio I made. This one being a lot of firsts: for example: my first serious try at painting figures. And there are about 40 of them! Never did a train either. Or a house... During the war, the German propaganda engine reportedly made a short movie, to be shown in cinema's, called "Lasst Ihn Sausen". This can be translated as "Let them whiz". The idea behind this dio is that the locomotive is just doing the opposite: wait till higher powers decide to let it pass. In the mean while, the driver does some maintainance and the stoker cleans up some of the mess he made. The plattform is filling up with passengers, as other trains are delayed in their turn... This one taking place in the Alsace, there is a certain French air over it, while the area has been contested over in the past for many decades.. The figures are a mixed bunch of resin and plastic from different manufacturers, such as Preiser, Stalingrad, MiniArt, Mk35, etc. Same goes for the accessories..

Cheers! I always like my dios to tell a story. And since this is a big dio, there need to be multiple stories... I see a railway station as a hub where many people get together on their way to unknow destinies so it is a place where many stories come together...

Is this 1/35 scale? I recognize some Miniart figures in there. There is sooooo much going on here!

Un....frickin' believeable and my hat goes off to you for this series of "firsts". I've never done ANY of this stuff and highly doubt that my tries would be on par with these. For your first time doing alot of the things that I'm seeing in this whole build you sure did make it all count.

Well, it didn't come by itself and did cost a lot of time but I am proud as a peacock on this one...

That's an amazing amount of detail. Great work. Out of curiosity, how long did it take to create this?

Gracias... I started the train before my stop, and don't know how much time I put it in before that, but once I got on track again, it took me 1,5 years to finish it...

Congratulations! This is very well done. The choice of poses on the figures is first rate, very believable.
