Brent & Lyle, thank you.
Brent, I'm gonna do a moderate amount of weathering on this... the photos from that campaign show them moderately dirty/clean, and depending upon what point in the battle covered in light mud or snow/ice.

and today's update - I sealed the decals in with a flat coat…. these decals will not be flaking off like the kit decals did… next up for this one is some stowage and weathering…

Thanks Kyle! It’s a fun side project while I wrap up a few others. Then I can get a new T26/M26A1/M46 family photo. 😏

Gotcha, my Dad rode on of these as well as M24 Chaffee's back in the 50's. He would have loved this thread

Very cool Brent! My dad was Air Defense Artillery in the 50's on 90mm guns and Quad .50 turrets. He rode in trucks, or M4 High Speed Tractors. One of my cousins was in the Marine Corps around the same time, so I really do like the stuff of that era.

Looks great so far! You will probably like this Korean War Era M36 with I believe a 90mm on it from Pop's scrapbook

Kyle, Brent, & Steve, thanks guys! I should have this one wrapped up this evening.
Brent that is a killer photo! I know that the US phased out tank destroyers shortly after WWII, so your dad truly served in a niche unit for that era. M36s did fight in Korea, but in ROK service not US.

Thanks Brent. For some reason, Korean War subjects are really appealing to me more and more as I grow older.

Thanks Brent. For some reason, Korean War subjects are really appealing to me more and more as I grow older. I hope to see you build a M24 Chaffee to join these. Eventually I'm eventually going to build a replica of my Dad's from way back then.

Brent, I built a Chaffee long ago, and it came out nice enough. Back before I was into weathering my builds... I'd like to do one of the Korean War Cat tank kits by Bronco someday...

Thanks Brent! Not that I remember too much about the build itself. I think that I built that one around 1988-1990 or so... just added a bit more stowage in maybe 2018 or so...

I read Spearhead a while back. I’d love to make that one! My birthday is coming up, I reckon I’ll just have to treat myself to one!
Edit… Just pulled the trigger on the Tamiya kit!
