That is a major upgrade from where it started. I really love that one you did in the tiger stripes, that's my favorite US Armor paint scheme.

I read Spearhead a while back. I’d love to make that one! My birthday is coming up, I reckon I’ll just have to treat myself to one! Edit… Just pulled the trigger on the Tamiya kit! Good man!

I'm in the middle of Spearhead. Will I be drawn to the dark side of link by link track and thousands of road wheels 🤔

Thanks Kyle! Not bad for a 30+ year old build. Things have changed over time for these…

Nice rework on this one! To think of the differences in building techniques as well as the design and detail of todays kits from 30 years ago to now is pretty amazing

I am somewhat surprised that Tamiya has not yet come out with new versions of their M5, M5A1, or M8 HMC based on their new M3 hull. The chassis and suspension are the same. They have gone to town on stuff based upon their Panzer III & Panzer IV hulls that they reworked...

It is cool to see the improvements. It is good to see that the M8 crew got some sun! All my builds are either 55 year old survivors from when I was a kid so I won't touch them due to nostalgia or done in the last 15 years when I started again so there is little I could do to improve them. There are maybe one or two ships that could stand an update I suppose so maybe someday I will take a page from your book and upgrade them.

Maybe MiniArt will with there new M3 line. Those Miniart kits are a bit too over engineered for my tastes. The look nice, but I’d rather see something by Tamiya. Hell, if AFV Club came out with a M8 HMC I might go that route. After all, they do have a M5A1 and M3A3 already in their line up.

Yeah, that Xtracolor Flesh, is whiter than butt white… 😏 I need to see what else I can do with the figures that I painted that color on… time to experiment now that I’m learning how to use Vallejos with their Glaze medium…
