Oh wow!! Now THATS a well built Tomcat Ernie. I’ve seen several folks build the Tamiya kit but none of the Testor’s/ Italeri kits. You made this look just as good or better than the Tammy counterparts!! Very well detailed, painted and weathered bud.

Thanks Joe. I picked that kit up at a model show a while back for a couple of bucks. I saw it in the box and the detailing looked good. I have built the Tamiya cat and is a beauty with outstanding fit and detailing specially the weapons and pit. I have several Tomcats in the stash including Hobby Boss that are really nice.

Actually the Testors Tomcat was originally a Fujimi kit. Or at least the one that I made back in the 90’s was… Testors F-14

Not a bad kit at all... aside from the wing glove missile pylons. For some reason they went with the Phoenix set up on those instead of the far more common Sparrow set up. How did you correct that? The only other option using the kit parts is to do the occasionally seen four Sidewinder set up.

Great job! I like the Black Aces - they have 2 su-22 kills from the 81 gulf of Sidra incident.

The only other option using the kit parts is to do the occasionally seen four Sidewinder set up. I have a ton of spare Tomcat and F4 parts so I can play with the load set ups.

Man, it is really an outstanding build especially that it is an older kit. I bought Tamiya kit last year and I hope it comes out as good as yours!

Holy cow! That is one amazing F-14. Given the kits age it is just stunning work.
