Too Many Posts

Wow Gents, I've been on this site for about two days and I am overwhelmed by the amount of activity/posts per day.  It's actually very hard to keep up with! I feel bad I do not have time to reply to every post I read through. I guess this is a good thing though! I am glad there is a "Like" feature though.. although it can't replace actual comments / feedback. I'll try to be a faster reader/typer in the future!

 It's like all of us staff have agreed, you don't have to keep up with it all buddy. Bookmark what interests you and comment on those posts. As a member on other forums I adhere to one hard and fast rule for myself: I respond to 3-5 other members builds before I post my own stuff and that has worked for me even when FSM was in full swing. Hang in there bro, you don't have to post on everything.

The great thing is...it doesn't matter!!! Just respond to what you can, the rest of it will still be here the next time you log in.

MSC has been undergoing a rebirth over the last year and it is really starting to pay off.

It's a great problem to have.

Yes indeed. Our forum has become very active and is indeed ripping right along. So active that, yes, it is quite difficult to keep up on a daily basis. This is a good thing. It means we have a very healthy community here. In fact there is discussion on this very topic started a couple of weeks ago.."Difficult to keep up, or is it just me?" I feel your frustration as I would love to be able to comment on nearly everything, but I simply lack the time to do so. The like feature certainly helps out. It is just good to have you comment on what you can or on what interests you. We all totally understand. Just sit back and enjoy all the wonderment to be found here.

Agree that its a good problem to have, but I also think aside from forum growth its partially due to the recent group builds that just started. A LOT of build have been recently posted so there is a lot of action at the moment!

Likewise! I used to post on every thread but I can't do that anymore especially when I am busy at work. That's why I am very thankful for the 'Like' thumb button and I use ALL THE TIMES now so that way the members will know that I have seen their posts.

Yup, it's hard to keep pace with the activity on here. Being a moderator I try to skim through most of the posts, just to make sure there is not any out of bounds behavior going on, but this place is pretty much in modeling harmony zen. Aside from the occasional suspicious new member that looks like a potential spammer, who usually are caught and disposed of while I'm asleep, this is a very easy site to moderate in spite of the activity level.

For sure, Read and reply to whatever catches your interest and don’t worry about the rest!! The amount of activity is truly incredible. But as Carlos said, the even more incredible part is the fact that the staff is essentially superfluous. This place has all this activity and the mods are almost not needed at all!! Such a great place.

 Activity is one thing (I have no problem there)....but there's all sorts of stuff, seemingly all over the place. It's like being in a new, much bigger town. Seems like every "street" you go down, has several "alleys". In time, it'll all become familiar and I'll have my routes figured out!

Dodgy, A spammer is usually a "new member" who joins and just tries to sell something that has nothing to do with model making.  Most times its a bot that is from some illegitimate source.  Good forum moderators will be able to nip these issues very quickly. We will never have an issue here

It’s tough to keep track of all the new activity without subscribing. I REALLY love keeping up with the WIPs and finished models.

LOL, I am in the same boat. Sometimes it is hard to keep up, sometimes I am just too tired to check in and when I do there are chats, WIPs, finish builds...Busy place and I like it
