This build was on the P-40 currently on display at the USAF museum located in Ohio, United States. I built this in 2019 and it was the first plane I had built since I was a kid. Really the start of my love for building planes. This 1/48 P40E is from Airfix. I also used Eduard flaps annd details set. The engine was designed to fit in the Hasegawa P-40, which required a bit of ingenuity to make work. Coastal Kits Allied Hangar background:

Absolutely stunning work!! Looks very cool in front of the new background. Also, I really love that museum. About time for another trip over there.

You've done a nice job on this.
I'm a fan of also rans and generally under appreciated equipment, and the P40 certainly falls into that category.

Gorgeous P-40! Great scratchwork getting the engine to fit that well. The background in the photos really make this look the part

Very nice build! I've built a few P-40's in my time but they didn't quite look that good. Stay safe. Jim

For being your first aircraft since you were a kid that's a great effort. You used skills that I didn't use when coming back to the hobby as an adult and wished I would have used on my first few attempts. Good work on shoehorning that engine into this build too as that takes a special skillset to pull off.
